Challenges for the new Millennium

Organized by the Spoken Language Processing Group at the LIMSI-CNRS with sponsorship from ISCA and the GFCP/SFA.


The ISCA Tutorial and Research Workshop ASR2000 will focus on core speech recognition technology and in particular on recent advances and prospective work. Some of the challenges for speech recognition research are to develop robust generic technology, low-cost development strategies, portability to new tasks and languages, and adaptability.

The number of workshop attendees will be limited to ensure an informal atmosphere and encourage technical exchange and open discussion. Priority will be given to authors of accepted papers.
